Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, Gregg Casson was bitten by the film bug after seeing Jurassic Park on opening night. With no access to a video camera at the time, Casson and a friend planned a sequel to the movie using dinosaur books and audio cassettes. Creating believable dinosaurs ultimately proved difficult for the nine year old and the project was abandoned. Undeterred, his interest in directing continued. While studying Film and Video Production at the University of South Australia, Casson developed an interest in short form narrative, specifically commercials.

Following graduation, he moved to Los Angeles, California on scholarship to the prestigious Art Center College of Design to pursue commercial directing in their Masterís Film course. Casson has won a number of

industry awards for his work including the Addy, Telly, Davey and Mobius Awards. His first commercial ñ a Public Service Announcement for Climate Change ñ was awarded a Clio Award at the 2008 show in Miami.
